Terms of Service

These are the terms for using ashkeeper.app and the Ashkeeper desktop beta app (together, "Ashkeeper," "we," "us"). By joining the waitlist, signing in as a beta tester, or downloading and using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the beta.

What Ashkeeper is

Ashkeeper is a native desktop toolkit for tabletop Dungeon Masters — party tracker, initiative, bestiary, and spell browser in one window. It's currently in private beta: unfinished, actively changing, and offered for testing purposes.

Beta access

• Beta access is invite-only and tied to your account. Please don't share your access code or redistribute the app build to people who haven't been invited.
• We can suspend or revoke your beta access at any time, for any reason, including simply winding down the beta.
• Beta software breaks. Back up anything you care about. We'll try not to lose your data, but we make no promise that we won't.

No warranty

Ashkeeper is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You use the beta at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ashkeeper and the people who build it aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the beta — including lost campaign data, lost time, or lost sessions. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Content & ownership

• Monster and spell data in Ashkeeper comes from the 5th Edition System Reference Document (SRD), via Open5e, used under its open license.
• Ashkeeper is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast.
• Any homebrew content, notes, or campaign data you create is yours. We don't claim ownership of it.

Acceptable use

Please don't use the beta to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or anyone else's, or in a way that violates applicable law. We can terminate access for anyone who does.

Changes

We may update these terms as the project evolves — we'll update the date at the top when we do. If you're a beta tester and haven't accepted the current version yet, you'll be asked to before continuing.
